Speak about the Aral Sea. What industry has suffered because of the shrinking of the Aral Sea?

The Aral Sea is situated in Central Asia, between the Southern part of Kazakhstan and Northern Uzbekistan. Up until the third quarter of the 20th century it was the world`s fourth largest s a line lake and contained 10 grams of salt per liter. The two rivers that feed it are the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers, respectively reaching the Sea through the South and the North. And that is the biggest ecologic problem not only for Uzbekistan but for all Asian countries. And it also impacts on population living around Aral Sea. Ecological problems. The Aral Sea, in 2003. had shrunk to well under half of the area r bad covered fifty years before. The major ecological problem is that diversion of the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers for irrigation has shrunk the Aral Sea dramatically: the Aral Sea has been drying up for about 40 years This has brought about a number of ecological and economic problems for the sea and the surrounding area.
