I am going to count some interesting facts about Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is among the five leading producers of cotton in the world. The five countries: China, USA, India, Pakistan and Uzbekistan - together produce 65% of the total amount. Regarding the export of cotton fiber, Uzbekistan is ranked third after the USA and India. Over 75% of the cotton fiber produced is exported. With regard to the population, Uzbekistan is the third largest in the CIS after Russia and Ukraine - with a population of more than 32 million. The oldest cities of Uzbekistan are more than 2750 years old. The most famous one is Samarkand which, along with Rome, is one of the oldest cities in the world. Tashkent TV Tower is the tallest in Central Asia, built in 1985 with a height of 375 meters.
